About Me

imageMARY WRIGHT, BSN, CMT, NCTMB

massage therapist and nurse with more than 22 years experience helping people solve pain problems. From a sprained ankle last month, to a shrapnel injury in WWII, to a car accident three years ago, to a roller skating injury 60 years ago, to abuse that feels like it's still stuck in the body, to surgery 10 years ago, to an old football injury...I work with it all...I've seen most everything...and I love a challenge.

I'm a member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA), hold National Certification in Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCTMB), Certified Massage Therapist (CMT) in California, and registered nurse (RN) in Minnesota. I've had advanced training and certification in Mayan Abdominal Massage, Neuromuscular Therapy, Connective Tissue Massage, Somato-emotional Release, Visceral Manipulation, Lymphatic Drainage Therapy, Frequencies of Brilliance, Craniosacral Therapy, Musculoskeletal Therapy, Anatomy Trains, etc. (ask if there is a modality you are specifically interested in, but don't see it listed.)

I'm grateful for the gift of being able to feel, with my hands, what most people cannot. I've also been blessed with the ability to significantly normalize tissue that has been injured, by using a technique I've developed over the years - see Micro Tissue Conditioning (tm).

Helping people who suffer with pain is my passion. It has taken me around the world to study with the physicians, shamans, osteopaths, energy workers, and others who have been on the cutting edge with something to offer people in pain.

My professional pain practice has been based in the Minneapolis/St Paul, MN area for 22+ years. Two years ago, I was asked by a client from Santa Barbara to come see some of her Santa Barbara friends who were in pain. I fell in love with the healing energy of the area, and now spend my time divided between the two locations. Clients are seen in Santa Barbara from November to May.  I am available for 1-4 hr individual appointments, 2-5 day intensive therapy sessions, or other prearranged times on a  personal basis.

If you've suffered long enough, take a step toward relief. You will know, after your first session, if this is the help you've been looking for.

I wish you the best on your journey to health, where ever that may take you!

 Mary
